Specializing in child welfare and child well-being, Antonia is passionate about advocating on behalf of youth and providing them with the tools necessary to achieve their desired goals.

Antonia Lewis, LSW is a Violence Prevention Specialist at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's (CHOP) Center for Violence Prevention. Prior to joining the Center, Antonia was enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Cryptologic Language Analyst, where she was formally trained in Mandarin Chinese. During her enlistment, she was stationed at the National Security Agency (NSA) and supported the analysis of Signals Intelligence for foreign intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. She scored proficient in Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, and Portuguese, while simultaneously obtaining two associate’s degrees in Psychology and Mandarin Chinese.

Following her honorable discharge from the military, Antonia enrolled at Drexel University, where she converted her love for people and justice into a bachelor’s degree in International Studies: Justice and Human Rights. After working in the non-profit field for several years, Antonia enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania, where she obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work, specializing in Child Welfare and Child Well-Being, during which time she interned at Mastery Charter School and the Philadelphia Children’s Alliance. Since graduation, Antonia has had the pleasure of engaging in mezzo-level social work at the Support Center for Child Advocates, and now micro-level Social Work at CHOP.
