Ali Bennett, MPH, is a research program manager at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Center for Violence Prevention (CVP). At CVP, Ali supports Dr. Steve Leff’s work on school-based interventions that address bullying, aggression, and racial microaggressions. She oversees day-to-day study operations, coordinates multi-site teams, manages timelines and data systems, and collaborates closely with school and community partners. Ali also contributes to grant submissions, supports financial and grants management, prepares progress reports, and develops processes that keep projects running smoothly and in compliance with sponsor requirements.
Ali is a public health professional with a background in psychology and over seven years of experience managing school-based mental health and child development research. After completing an AmeriCorps service year in Austin, TX, where she provided one-on-one literacy support to students, Ali was drawn to the broader structural and environmental factors that shape child outcomes. She went on to earn her MPH at Boston University with a focus on maternal and child health and community-based program design and evaluation. Since then, she has managed NIH-funded pediatric and implementation research studies at NYU and CHOP, with a focus on behavioral health, health equity, and systems-level change in under-resourced communities.
