Caroline Menapace Glavin, DSW, LCSW currently serves as a Clinical Project Manager at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Center for Violence Prevention, where she oversees the trauma-informed work of the Growing Resilience in Teens (GRIT) Assessment and Family Advocacy and Support (FAS) Program.

Caroline Menapace Glavin, DSW, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker who received her Master of Social Work (’14) and Doctorate in Clinical Social Work (’23) from the School of Social Policy and Practice at the University of Pennsylvania. 

Caroline is currently a Clinical Project Manager at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Center for Violence Prevention, where she oversees the trauma-informed work of the Growing Resilience in Teens (GRIT) Assessment and Family Advocacy and Support (FAS) Program. Caroline collaborates with Primary Care Providers and Social Workers as well as numerous community providers in order to ensure youth and families are connected with appropriate and timely support. 

For more than 10 years, Caroline has brought a trauma-informed approach to her work with youth and families in community and site-based settings. Caroline has worked in child welfare, victim services, and outpatient mental health settings. Caroline is trained in the Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI), Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Caroline focused her dissertation research on trauma therapists’ experiences and perceptions of caregiver involvement and the child-caregiver relationship within the context of child trauma therapy. 

Caroline taught Direct Practice Research and served as a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Social Work Research at SP2. She currently serves as a Field Liaison for Foundations of Social Work Practice. She has provided clinical supervision and field instruction for MSW students from the University of Pennsylvania and other Philadelphia Universities.
