Emma James MSW, MSSP is a professional in the field of gender-based violence, currently working as the STOP IPV Program Supervisor with Lutheran Settlement House, managing a team of medical advocates who support survivors in healthcare settings. 

Emma manages program implementation, evaluation, training, and universal IPV education in healthcare settings. She impacts hospital-wide policy regarding intimate partner violence screening, resourcing, and education and survivors' needs and connects them with appropriate resources. As a dual master's graduate from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Social Policy and Practice with degrees in Social Work and the Science of Social Policy, she utilizes social work values in her community-focused support for IPV survivors.
