Dr. Scribano is the section chief of Safe Place: Center for Child Protection and Health at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and professor of clinical pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

He has devoted his scholarly efforts in the areas of epidemiology and prevention of child maltreatment and intimate partner violence, technology use in healthcare, and health services to children in foster care. Dr. Scribano is the recipient of multiple research and program grants including awards from the Administration on Children and Families, U.S. Department of Justice, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
