VIP helps clients and families identify and pursue employment opportunities and fulfill obligations necessary for these opportunities.
- File VCAP claim for client/ caregiver lost wage reimbursement
- Outline application process
- Assist in completion of application
- Provide guidance about and assist with supplemental application components (e.g., receipts)
- Ask questions of VCAP personnel on behalf of clients/caregivers
- Submit physical copy of VCAP or provide necessary mailing items (envelope, stamps) to caregiver
- Follow-up on status of application and/or payment
- Assist client with application for employment
- Discuss employment with client
- Assist client in researching and/or contacting potential employment opportunities
- Assist client with preparing resume and completing job applications
- Complete mock interviews and/or provide interview advice to client
- Refer client to job training program
- Provide informational resources about job training program
- Assist with application to job training program
- Assist youth with obtaining working papers
- Provide family with working papers application
- Refer family member to job-related resources
- Find appropriate resources for family member
- Support application to job-related resource
