In her present role, she coordinates and leads programming to support clinical staff in their awareness of traumatic stress.

Caitlin's work focuses on increasing awareness and recognition of medical traumatic stress by healthcare providers, disseminating empirically-based screening and interventions for children and families who have experienced traumatic stress due to pediatric illness and injury, providing trauma-informed Care (TIC) trainings to healthcare professionals, and developing resources about coping with traumatic stress for patients and families. She also focuses on providing support for helping professionals by helping support implementation of the Stress-Less Initiative© with healthcare providers, school-based staff, and community mental health workers.

Prior to this role, Caitlin worked directly with pediatric patients and families as a hospital outreach specialist, and has also provided trauma therapy to survivors of sexual violence. Her past research has focused on an intimate partner violence screening development with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Center for Violence Prevention.
