Dyanta Timmerman, MSW is a Violence Prevention Specialist with the Violence Intervention Program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Her duties consist of providing intensive, trauma-informed case management for youth and their families following a traumatic event. 

Prior to becoming a Violence Prevention Specialist, Dyanta worked with a wide range of populations throughout Philadelphia and its surrounding areas. Her experience working with youthful offenders and incarcerated adults as a Mental Health Professional at the Philadelphia Prisons has given her the opportunity to observe different people of all walks of life. Dyanta also had the opportunity to work with elementary students as a social emotional support social worker in the William Penn school district, a psychiatric technician at Fairmount Behavioral Health System, a service coordinator with intellectual disability individuals and an early intervention support coordinator working with infants and toddlers in Delaware County. 

One of the most important lessons she has learned during her career is to always put forth her best effort in helping individuals. Dyanta maintains the highest standards of professionalism and pockets a wealth of core values – most importantly, integrity. She is committed to improving the lives of youth and their families after they have experienced a traumatic event.
