Shaneeka Monroe MEd serves as the Supervisor for the Violence Intervention Program and the Family Advocacy and Support Program within the Center for Violence Prevention at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

With more that 15 years of expericence working with children, adolescents, and families, Shaneeka has built her career around supporting youth impacted by trauma and adversity. Her professional background spans both education and behavioral health, where she has served as an Autistic Support Teacher, an Intensive Behavioral Health (IBHS) Mobile Therapist, and a Family- Based Therapist.

Shaneeka is trained in Trauma- Informed Care and the Sanctuary Model, bringing a compassionate, evidence- based approach to her work. She is passionate about helping youth and families navigate the lasting effects of trauma while fostering resilence, healing, and hope.

In her current role, Shaneeka leads programs that support youth who have experienced community violence and other traumatic events. She works closely with children and thier families to promote physical and emotional healing, restore a sense of safety, and connect them with the resources and support they need to move forward.
