CHOP Mentor
This past year, I had the pleasure of interning with the Community Violence and Trauma Support (CVTS) team under Caroline Glavin, DSW, LCSW. In this role, I provided supportive counseling and conducted intakes for children experiencing trauma-related symptoms. Over the course of my time here, I worked within a multidisciplinary team that included case managers, community health workers, violence prevention specialists, and therapists. Being part of such a diverse team gave me the tools to work holistically—not only addressing clients' immediate mental health needs but also helping them thrive beyond the counseling room.
Overall, this experience was truly memorable and helped me grow in my clinical and interpersonal skills. Through CVTS, I got to work with so many incredible families and made a meaningful contribution to my community. I am truly grateful to have gotten the opportunity to work with such talented, passionate, and dedicated individuals.
